NTSIKI Mashimbye, chairman of Parliament's Joint Standing Committee on Defence, who last week jetted off to Hamburg on an arms-deal freebie with his secretary, should at least be praised for being open about the trips he has scored out of the R50-billion deal. According to Parliament's records, Mashimbye's trip last week (paid for by a corvette manufacturer, the German Frigate Consortium) was the 15th trip he's gone on, all paid for by the same company.
