Three laptops and about seven desktop computers were stolen during a break-in at the Auditor-General's regional office in Pretoria over the weekend, police reported on Tuesday.
Inspector Anton Breedt said the incident occurred around 9pm on Sunday. Six men held up a security guard and a woman employee at Lefika House in Brooklyn.
The robbers loaded their loot in a car the woman was driving and fled.
The Auditor-General's spokesperson Phephela Makgoke confirmed the incident and said the robbers damaged about 40 lockers, the front door, which is glass and the turnstile at reception.
No one was injured during the incident, he said.
