It is almost two months since the African National Congress (ANC) told itself that the arms deal saga was buried. The Mail & Guardian has exposed and written about how Deputy President Jacob Zuma might be involved in the deal.
The ANC has emphasised transparency in the government, but now Zuma seems not to want to submit himself to investigation. He should prove to all South Africans that he is clean by allowing an investigation to take place.
He should set an example. If he fails to allow inquiries into his finances then we will conclude that he is involved in the deal.
