Not Me : Businessman Vivian Reddy denies any dealings with Shaik
Durban businessman Vivian Reddy, who has been implicated in the charge sheet, said he was angry that he had not been given the benefit of answering any of the allegations against him before they were released for public scrutiny.
He denied that he laundered money on behalf of Shaik, and denied having had any business dealings with him.
"I don't know the man *. I never had any business dealings with him, not even a cup of tea. I have met him once or twice at public events and I find it demeaning that it is insinuated that I had shady dealings with him," said Reddy.
He denied that he or any of his businesses, including Development Africa Trust and Edison Health, had helped to develop Zuma's homestead.
"Nor have any of my companies paid a cent to the builder for the development. The only thing I did was to stand surety with First National Bank for the deputy president. I have never denied that, nor will I stop standing surety for my friends of good standing when they are in need. I had absolutely nothing to benefit."
