I find it almost unbelievable that Defence Minister Mosiuoa Lekota "overlooked" two quite significant business interests, especially as he was obliged to declare all such interests to parliament.

It is even more astonishing that his excuse was "negligence".

Can we really afford to have as a minister in charge of one of the most important portfolios someone who exhibits such gross incompetence as his "negligence" shows?
