Deputy President Jacob Zuma's financial adviser Schabir Shaik, who is accused of fraud and corruption, could face a minimum of 15 years in jail if he is convicted on either of two corruption charges.
Tomorrow state prosecutor Billy Downer begins the summation of the state's case.
Downer was unwilling to discuss what sentence he would call for if Shaik were to be found guilty. Alternative dates set down for judgment are May 23 and May 30.
