The ANC claims the Scorpions are undermining parliament with their investigation into MPs' abuse of travel vouchers.

It appears that it is these MPs who are undermining parliament, and the ANC is undermining our country by aiding and abetting them with its support.

This from a party who think they have a monopoly on the word patriotism, while they play the age-old game of corrupt politics, of not addressing the issues, but shooting the messenger.

Prior to this the race card came out as well, as a demonstration of their political bankruptcy.

When Judge Heath was prepared to investigate the multibillion-rand corrupt arms deal, they got rid of him.

Was this in the interest of the country? Next casualty was Bulelani Ngcuka.

Now they want to eliminate the Scorpions, or at best put the unit under the control of their political appointees.

Isn't it strange that the very people calling for this are of those under investigation?

Is this not demonstration of the ANC version of political patriotism?

What's next, the judiciary? Shades of Zimbabwe 15 years ago.

The simple question needs to be answered: whether this is in the interests of the country, or that of the ruling party?
