I have a simple, somewhat rhetorical, question :

Are we, as taxpayers, paying for Mo Shaik, Schabir Shaik's brother, to sit in court in a case in which, as I understand, he is neither the accused nor a material witness?

If my memory serves me correctly, Mr Shaik was off work for much of the duration of the Hefer Commission.

I might be off on a wild goose chase as Mr Shaik might just have put in for leave.
