The
company I work for subscribes to your outstanding newspaper which I read avidly
each day.
For some time now I have been concerned at what appears to be
your pet hype of using every occasion to vilify Jacob Zuma as far as you are
concerned he is badly tainted and totally incapable
*1 of ever being our president.
I have no reason to support him in
any way, but the manner in which you take every opportunity to show him up in a bad light gives one the impression that
you have already found him guilty.
Furthermore, you appear determined to
keep him in the spotlight as a tainted person, thereby continuing to influence
public thinking.
This culminated in the leader, Keeping Mbeki off Jacob’s
ladder (October 18). Are you both judge *3 and jury *3
in deciding that in your view he has “already caused collateral damage”?
How do you know that the charges against him were not largely politically
motivated?
Time and the judge will be the deciding factors.
