I'm disappointed by suggestions made by Cosatu, SACP and now Sanco KwaZulu-Natal. In terms of the constitution the President has a right to appoint and fire anyone whom he deems unfit to occupy any office in government.

Maybe they should read chapter five of the constitution again and, if necessary, seek help since they seem not to understand what it says.

They forget that Jacob Zuma and they demanded that he be charged so that he can prove himself innocent.

They seem to have conclused that Zuma's chances of success in this case are nil, and are now trying to pressure the President.

Zuma should be prosecuted irrespective of his history in the democratic movement. He is not above the law, not even the President himself is.

Cosatu, the SACP, Sanco and the ANC Youth League should not try to be popular at the country's expense. They must realise that whatever they are asking for will come back to haunt them.
