Johannesburg - The National Prosecuting Authority has returned former deputy president Jacob Zuma's hard drives, which were confiscated in a raid on his Johannesburg home on Thursday, SABC News reported on Saturday.

NPA spokesperson Makhosini Nkosi said the Scorpions had not confiscated any material belonging to Zuma.

The Scorpions, the investigative arm of the NPA, has been analysing documents and material taken from Zuma's homes in Johannesburg and KwaZulu-Natal homes during a raid on Thursday morning.

"Some of the things that were taken away were computer hard drives," Nkosi said.

"But those computer hard drives were not confiscated. So they were taken and whatever contents was in those computer hard drives was downloaded. And therefore Mr Zuma's hard drives had to be returned, and that's what we did."
