Durban: Jacob Zuma's lawyer said yesterday he would apply to a high court in KwaZulu-Natal to have the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) return all documents taken during raids on Zuma's homes last month.
Michael Hulley said the application would be lodged by Wednesday next week in either the Pietermaritzburg High Court or the Durban High Court.
The documents in question would be those taken in raids on Zuma's homes in KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng.
Last week the NPA appealed a decision by the Johannesburg High Court which declared the search and seizure raids at the premises of Zuma's attorney Julekha Mahomed illegal.
President Thabo Mbeki fired Zuma as South Africa's deputy president in July after he was found by the Durban High Court to have had a generally corrupt relationship with his former financial adviser Schabir Shaik.
Zuma was then charged on two counts of corruption. He is to appear in the Durban Magistrate's Court next month.
