"Was
Squires not the Justice Minister under the Apartheid?"
No he was not, he
was however the Minister of Justice in Rhodesia.
Let us not forget that
he was asked to judge the case by the relevant govt authority. He did not force
himself into the positiion. He was also assisted by 2 Senior
Counsel *1, advocates of high standing and experience. One of them was
not white [not really relevant] and the judgement was thorough and
dispassionate. Both assessors concurred with the findings.
So let us not
play the race card again, the facts were clear, the trial was transparent to the
extent that TV cameras were allowed into the court room during the
findings.
Shaik is guilty, and Zuma is tainted as it has been shown that
while he did not necessarily solicit a bribe [Squires' words] he accepted
bribes. This is unacceptable from the 2nd highest office holder in the
land.
Judex damnatur cum nocens absolvitur.

retired senior regional magistrate.
