Jacob Zuma's rape accused had to have an abortion while studying to be a priest, the Johannesburg High Court heard on Thursday.

Under cross-examination, she told the court that she had been unwell for a long time while studying and her mother had fetched her and taken her home. She described the symptoms as fainting, and waking up shaking with "bubbles in her mouth".

She woke up one day to discover a "smelly green discharge" coming from her vagina. When her mother took her to the doctor, she found she was five months pregnant.

Her and her mother discussed who could have been responsible for the pregnancy.

Choking up at times, she told the court that she had "wrestled" with one man, identified only as Z, a few times, who had wanted to have sex with her. She was involved with another man but was not intimate with either of them.

She said that they came to the conclusion that someone had had sex with her without her knowing. "The conclusion was I was raped".

She said that the school where she was studying to be priest in KwaZulu-Natal had one school building and all the boys also lived there. At least three people had a key to the room where the boys lived.

When she first started fainting she went to stay with the boarding master because he lived off campus. She lived in his house full time because she was sick all the time. Her and her mother concluded that it could only have been him because the other boys would not risk someone coming into the room. "So I don't know who it is," she said.

She had an abortion when she was five months pregnant in the early 1990s. "My mother said the five months foetus resembled him (the boarding master), it had the features of him." Earlier, she denied that the seminary had formed a committee to investigate another claim of rape.
