What
changes do I see for 2006?
A new super-union of Fedusa, Nactu and
Consawu, formed with the support of the cabal intent on destroying Jacob Zuma,
will challenge Cosatu, as part of the divida-et-imperia (divide and rule)
strategy. It will be an acrimonious struggle. The new super-union will not do
badly. It will come second in the ratings.
Every word
of the so-called hoax e-mails will be proven to be true.
Judge
Sisi Khampepe will not be cowed by menacing allusions to her career
prospects.
An otherwise good minister *1 - who
tragically lost his way - will resign quietly.
A pretender to the highest office *2 will return to home base
to do penance for covetousness.
The A-team of the
Scorpions *3 will be looking for jobs as bodyguards for oil-rich sultans
in faraway desert lands.
Spooks of the National Intelligence Agency,
dismissed for doing their jobs a little too well, will be re-instated with full
honours.
Spooks of foreign agencies will feel the heat of exposure and
apply to be re-assigned to cooler climes.
A latter-day Mata Hari *4 will be exposed in court to the
delight of voyeurs in the media *5.
A big man with a heart of gold *6 and incomparable struggle
credentials will regain his prestige, proving once again that you can't keep a
good man down.
Realisation of the above auguries will be a measure of
the extent to which Man proposes, but God disposes.
Our leaders need to
be reminded that posterity will be the ultimate judge of all they say and do,
after their might and main is relegated to history.
