Judge Craig Howie, President of the Supreme Court of Appeal, reserved judgment on Tuesday in the criminal appeals of Durban businessman Schabir Shaik about his convictions for corruption and fraud.

A civil appeal in regard to the asset forfeiture of about R34 million the Durban High Court order Shaik to pay the State -- said to be proceeds of crime -- will start on Wednesday.
