Durban - Lawyers for Jacob Zuma and his attorney, Michael Hulley, say the search warrants used in the Scorpions' raids on their premises last year were too open-ended and did not specify what was being searched for.
Advocate Mike Smithers told Durban High Court that a search warrant should specify the offences being investigated and that the people who were being raided did not know what was being searched for.
Smithers said that, for example, a sentimental diary belonging to the late wife of the former deputy president had been seized from his home during the raids.
Smithers said the search warrant should have been specific.
Zuma and Hulley want documents and computer equipment seized during the Scorpions raids last year to be returned to them.
