Now that we know what the ANC is looking for, South Africa is going to be inundated with applications from individuals with a criminal record.

Front page in the Cape Argus, January 16 and I quote: "We will not throw Yengeni to the wolves but use him for his talents." I believe if Tony had any talent, why did they catch him? To any criminal I say, you can fool most of the people some of the time, but you can't fool some people all the time.

What a disgrace South Africa that a person can walk out of jail after only four months instead of four years, and get told that he is wanted in business circles. What kind of business will he be involved in? Who will want to do business with him? The justice system has relaxed the prison sentences for some because it is aware that soon the jails will be filled with comrades.

This country is full of people with another scam, another fraud, another embezzlement, another counterfeiter, another mugger, another rapist, another murderer, another hijacker, phew!

This list can go on forever. We have many people with criminal talents.

Just recently I watched in awe, that Minister Balfour had pardoned a murderer on national television, and told her that he will find her a job in Parliament. What type of message is the government giving criminal South Africans?

Our president can't even keep good company and send out the right signal to the population. He dances and celebrates with Jacob Zuma, a man with a tarnished record and still on top of the party's A-list.

Schabir Shaik is out of harm's way and languishing in a private hospital, just because he has friends in the right places, some with criminal undertones.

The government only has to look around and notice how much "talent" they have in parliamentary circles. There are those who are being accused of sexual harrassment, some openly taking advantage of the gravy train. God knows how many of our high profile white collar workers are embezzling millions of rands. Now that's what I call talent.

Come Mr President, it is time to wake up and smell the roses. If the new government couldn't transform most of the population since 1994, how are you going to do it before 2010.

If the people in power set such bad examples, it's no wonder the country is going to the dogs, or should I say wolves?*1
