Political and financial analysts are giving us a broad picture of what might
or might not happen should Jacob Zuma actually become president of the country.
Unless Zuma has "his day in court", as he pronounced before being elected as
president of the ANC, this country will remain divided as to his guilt or not.
Having seen what the economic giants of Europe, especially America, have done to
the rest of Africa through bribery and corruption, Zuma needs to clear himself
of allegations that he is open to fraud, bribery and corruption.
He must face his accusers in a fair, open and transparent court of law.
His supporters must consider that to follow him blindly can lead to the
destruction of all that has been achieved over the past 14 years, and that apart
from the ANC's national executive committee, SA Communist Party, ANC Youth
League and Cosatu, the rest of the population, and mostly our black citizens,
will suffer the consequences.
Being able to sing, dance and smile broadly does not a president make.
You also have to wonder why he travelled overseas to seek support for his
campaign.
What promises did he make in return for help to get him to the top post?
For me this is the most worrisome side of Zuma.
The man is indiscreet and his morals questionable.
