Talib Sadik has been appointed to the position of acting group chief
executive officer of Denel, the board said on Friday.
The appointment would take effect from June 1 this year.
Sadik is currently the group's financial director and an executive member of the
board. Sadik would succeed Shaun Liebenberg who earlier announced that he was
leaving Denel after the completion of his three year employment contract.
"Sadik is experienced and has been
part of the team at Denel for two years. As the
Board, we have confidence in his ability to successfully lead Denel in
continuing to implement its strategy and further improve on the performance of
the Denel group," said chairman of Denel, Dr Sibusiso Sibisi.
