Johannesburg - Embattled National Director of
Public Prosecutions (NDPP)
Menzi Simelane has been removed from the
National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), according
to a report on Wednesday.
NPA spokesperson Bulelwa Makeke told
The Times newspaper: "He no longer works for
the NPA - in any capacity",
without going into
further details.
In October, the Constitutional Court confirmed a
Supreme Court of Appeal ruling in favour of the
Democratic Alliance that President
Jacob Zuma's decision to appoint Simelane as
NDPP was invalid.
After the ruling,
Nomgcobo Jiba
was appointed acting NDPP*1, but no
further decision on Simelane's position was made
public.

This beauty is the one who had Adv Gerrie Nel
arrested.
And had Adv Glynnis Breytenbach suspended.
But it is still very excellent outcome for those
who are not unconcerned, especially the DA
represented by Adv Owen Rogers SC.
Next stop Jiba.
