Rear-Admiral Rusty Higgs reads from a folder before testifying at the Sereti Commission of inquiry into the arms deal at the Sammy Marks Conference Centre in Pretoria.

So the erstwhile war-monger Rear-Admiral Higgs blatantly states that he wants to influence events in Africa.

Who the hell does he think he is, George W Bush? In fact he would fit in quite nicely with that idiot!

Higgs states that the Navy is under-equipped yet most of our fleet is practically in dry-dock.

Our fish stocks are being depleted at an alarming rate as there are no patrols anymore yet he states that “if we patrol, we control”.

Please Rearend-Admiral, stop trying to please your political bosses and admit that your Navy is in tatters and turmoil and please get our subs and Corvettes in the water and working before you even think about purchasing any more vessels and equipment.

Prove to us who pay your salary that you can actually do your job!

Admiral Higgs is a nice guy like his colleagues, but they don't know the meaning nor full import of the oath to tell the whole truth.

But maybe that's because none of them know anything about the Arms Deal - other than what they've heard or been told.

Pity none of us has the time nor resources to retain legal teams for six months to cross-examine them.

Dunno who Ken Strang is, but he's telling the truth.
